What a weekend... Busiest weekend ever... not to mention its the weekend that I clubbed the most... Wahahaha...

It all started on Thursday... when Nicole msged me about a free tertiary party by whosgoing.sg at MOS on the same day... So... since it was FREE ENTRY... I jumped at the chance... Rushed home from school after my lecture ended at 7.30pm... changed, washed up and got down to MOS at 10.15pm... since the entry was valid till 11pm... the queue was horrendous... stretched from the main entrance in more than one line... all the way to the back, near the taxi stand... luckily, I knew that there was another entrance, next to Kandi Bar... and yup... the queue there was definitely shorter... waited for Nic, then joined the queue, with the tickets you had to print as well... lol...

Met her friends there, and they had the proper ones... one who stack actually... so I got in free... R&B in the main arena again... Which, from previous experience, was gonna suck... and it did... all the way till 1plus am... then it started to get better... REALLY better... all the nice songs... and songs we were already sick of... Had Fergalicious and Wind it up!! Lol... we were resting at the 2nd floor when those two songs were playing.. so decided to do snr class steps for fergalicious, and the chingay steps for wind it up... lol... That was damn farney... Haha...

I ended up reaching home at 4am... washed up, changed then KOed... woke up at 11plus and cabbed down for my 12pm lecture... Hurr... Then met John to buy Winnie's present... after which, I had to rush home to drop my stuff, and pack to go for Go karting practice at Jurong... That was one expensive cab ride... cos the driver took a wrong turn and ended up on the PIE again... had to exit the PIE and get back to the AYE.. the track was just next to it... we didn't see the small road there... Hurr.. Karting ended around 9.45pm... I went to the KFC and changed to berms while waiting for Jas to pick me up... We were on the way to Cafe Del Mar!!! Lol... I got the notice about the opening party... decided to go take a look at a beach bar... Lol...

I tot it would be a chill out bar, the kind you relax and lounge on the beach with a glass of wine... But NOOO... Apparently, after 9 plus 10, the clubbing starts... and it HOUSE music ALL THE WAY... Sheesh... when I got there, it was already house... and damn crowded... went up to the 2nd floor to take this pic of the sofas and stilt beds on the beach, then decided it was too crowded and went to find some food to eat... the last I ate was at bugis with John, like 8 hours ago... lol...

Took this pic from the 2nd floor... pic quality was bad cos I only had my camera phone with me... Lol...

Went to the nearby Coastes to eat, then walked back to Cafe Del Mar... entered by the beach... spied an empty set of sofas and promptly went to sit there... lol... Then we just lounged and stoned till 2am plus... got home at 3 plus, and made sure Jas didn't sleep on the drive back home... then KOed...

Got up at 10am to go down to my sis' office for a briefing on a study they're doing... ate sushi with her at simei... then got home, wrapped Winnie's present and went to meet John for a quick dinner at Maxwell Food Centre before Winnie's bday party at Mox.. lol...

Winnie's party rocked man... club party!! Wahaha... free alcohol too!! but only had vodka, baileys and gin... But it was enough... great fun and all... but I think I drank a bit too much... started to stone when the dancing started... too tired to dance that much too I guess... after all... 3rd night in a club... getting to be too much for me too... haha.. Shared a cab home with peter... 90% of the trip, both of us were stoned and just didn't talk at all... lol...

I got home, didn't change, didn't bathe, didn't take out my contacts, and just fell on the bed... so tired I asked my sis to help me take off my socks... lol... then I KOed till 6am when my mother woke me up, I took out my contacts, changed and KOed again till 12noon... postponed my tuition cos my brain was still lagging... went down to school for Impre practice at 4pm till 7pm... Helped Nic with her stats tut after that at Vivocity... then got home at 11pm... Totally danced out... lol...

And today, I skipped my 10am lecture cos I was still too tired to wake up that early... had lessons till 5 plus, ate a quick lunch (yes, I didn't have my lunch yet) and went down to Kallang for Chingay practice... ate dinner with some of the blast ppl at Kallang after that... then got home... and here I am... lol..

Seriously gotta try to keep some time for my studies too... lol... Soon I hope... after impre semis, I'll probably be able to breathe a bit more...

Can't believe its been 2 days of school and I still haven't had a chance to wear my new jeans... lol... Been having practice on both days... so had to wear cargoes instead... Chingay on Mon, Impresario and Gin's Reggae today... Blast class tmr... Full day on Thurs... Go karting on Fri... Tuition on Sat... Jitterbugs and Impresario on Sunday... I figure my only slack day every week would probably be Fri... Sheesh... On a good note, I've finally got a free day... Tues!! But with Impresario... that's taken up as well... Oh well... the bandits are fun ppl anyway... hehe...

5 out of the initial 6 got into the semis... so now its a rush to brush up for the semis on the 27th Jan... Sheesh... Wouldn't it be better to go straight to finals? Only 5 teams... it would be more entertaining to have 5, rather than 3 teams for the finals...

Oh well... if they want a semis, then we'll give them a great semis... and an even better finals!! Lol... Might be getting ahead of myself there... Just gonna put in more effort and see what happens... I'm not gonna let them slack off... Heh...

Gin's reggae was... interesting... Haha... 2nd class only... and still trying to get the groove... the choreo was good though... I just need to isolate more... haha... Getting there... slowly... Kinda feel like taking popping, but that would stretch me a bit too thin... and my wallet too... Haha...

Gotta save some time for myself... and exercise... Haha... Deadline's in 6 months... Dammit... Gotta motivate myself... I want abs, I want abs.. lol...

Can't believe I actually drank so much last night and still felt ok... Sheesh...

It was my JC class' gathering... since some ppl were back from Aus, we decided to meet up before school started for some, and work for the rest... It was great seeing the class ppl again... seeing how they've progressed... most of the girls have started working... while the guys are either in school, or working as well...

And I think today was one of the times we had the most number of people meeting up... started with 10, then 2 others came later... so it became a total of 12... Haha... thats like half the class...

Had dinner at Pizza Hut... Yummy garlic bread... I just love it fresh from the oven... After that, we couldn't really decide wehere to go, so we ended up at Harry's at the Esplanade... for drinks... and lots of it... everyone ordered at least one... alcoholic... except for Fahmy who well... for obvious reasons, can't take alcohol...

Me and Diarna...

Glynnis and Su Ghim showing off our old class photo... Eeewww... lol...

Teri, Sara and Clara...

Clara and Yimei, advertising for Pizza Hut...

The girls around the ever elusive Fahmy... lol

Harry's at the Esplanade...

Most of us had cocktails... well... most... I had a bit more... and I seriously didn't know sara could drink so well too.. haha... I had 3, she topped me at 4... lol... and one of the drinks she had wasn't even on the menu!! She asked the waiter for something stronger... and he gave her this 8 in 1 housepour mix... Lol... I took a bit... and WHOOOO~... the fumes went straight up the nose... lol..

Me and my Sangria...

Group shot!!

Doris, Clara and Su Ghim... Doris dropped by later...

So in the end, everyone just hung out at Harry's... talking and catching up... drinking and photowhoring.. well... the girls did... the guys just chatted... lol... hence some shots were impromptu... and I've become the 'unofficial photographer', as dubbed by Clara... Know why? I found out a way to keep people from closing their eyes just as the picture is taken... Just do this... Say 'Ready?... *snap*' No need for a countdown!! Countdowns are passe!! People anticipating the 1,2,3 might tend to close their eyes... haha... We had a lot of laughs taking pictures like that... cos I varyed my timing too... sometimes its 'Ready? *snap*'... At other times, its 'Ready? 1, *snap* 2..'... Lol...

They're not drunk... just want to show their numbers... lol...

By then, I'd already had my 2nd drink, one shot of Choclate Monk but was still ok... weird too actually... haha... I'm usually hot by then... haha...

Do I look gone to you?? Lol... I always turn pinkish with alcohol...

Flaming Lamborghini anyone??

And yes... Sara didn't want to drink a flaming by herself... so I accompanied her and got one too... Doris wanted to try it too!! Lol... so we ended up ordering 3 flamings... Highlight of the night man... Wonder who's got the vids of us drinking the flaming.. Haha...

All gone!!

I'd wanted to go down to MOS, Jas was there with her friend, and from what she said, the music at Smoove was great that day... SO GIAN to go down... but after that flaming... nah... haha... I'd spent enough that day... $10 for pizza, and $45 for drinks... Lol... Although I was high enough to go MOS without drinking, the cover charge wouldn't have been worth it... Haha...

So after drinks and everything... Clara just sent us home in what she called, her 'Mini cooper' wannabe van.. hehe... managed to squeeze 6 ppl in the back... lol... Legs got numb though... haha... But it was great fun!! We should do it more often!!

The rest left early... this is all thats left... haha...

Here's to 7 years of friendship!!

Sidenote: It's great news to hear you've finally found someone Mei... Congrats! I've really never seen you that happy before... =)

What's the point of having payment via eNets, when you still need to apply for Internet Banking to use it?? Seriously...

I was trying to book tickets at GV's online booking site, but due to the Taiwan earthquake, the credit/debit card payment service was unavailble, which left me with the eNets booking.

I tot since I had registered on the Nets site already, I'd give it a go... little did I know that when I clicked on the link to pay, I was brought to a local bank's internet banking site to make the payment. I was a bit stunned. I tot Nets could just deduct the amount from my bank account, anyway, felt it wasn't that much of a problem, cos I do have internet banking, I just had to go dig out the ID from my cupboard. Then I realised, I forgot my PIN number... Here's the frustrating part...

They stated that you could request for your PIN number online, which, I took to mean instant delivery... Unfortunately, it wasn't... It was just that the form to fill in to request for a password is online. Here's the part that made me question the effectiveness of their system... At the top of the form, its stated that you had to PRINT OUT the form, fill it in and BRING IT TO A BANK to request for your PIN...

That was when I went... Huh?? Might as well just go down to the bank and get the form there... What was the point? Anyway, long story short, I had to do a phone booking instead... And that's where the next problem came in...

For net bookings, because you've already paid for the tickets, eventhough they said you have to collect the tickets 30 mins before the show, even 5 mins before the show, they're still available for you... But apparently, for phone bookings, that wasn't the case... Once it passes 30 mins before the show, they will sell off your tickets if you haven't collected them yet...

I haven't done phone booking, so of course I wasn't aware of that difference.. So when Callie and I had phone booked Blood Diamond at vivocity, I didn't know that they'd sell off the tickets. So I was kinda shocked when they told me the booking wasn't available... And only the front 2 rows were left in the end... so we decided to catch Night at the Museum instead... Oh well... at least I managed to use my SAFRA discount... tickets for only $8 on weekends and public holidays.. lol..

And since the movie wasn't on till 9.30pm, we were supposed to get the 5.20pm show... that meant we had some extra time for other things... Took a trip down to The Cathay so Cal could get tickets for another movie she was watching with her friend the next day... Went to Ya Kun at the basement for her coffee fix... lol
First time I've seen a girl who likes Kopi gao... lol

Then went to have some fun at the arcade... Lol... You make a good arcade companion... We should do bishi bashi more often... lol... just less tiring ones... Haha...

Had dinner at Terra Cafe before the movie... They serve good drinks and good pasta... Just that their service staff need more training... not very attentive... I could seriously just go find with manager and tell them to give me 1 month and I'll improve their service tremendously... Their sets are quite affordable... every set had one main course, one soup and one ice cream... Drinks portion was also quite big... Hehe... I'm sure Callie loved the lemonade there... It tasted like liquid super lemon to me.. Haha...

Ice cream was raspberry and blueberry... So coincidental that she took raspberry, that was pink, and I took blueberry, which is blue.. You know... Boy = Blue, Girl = Pink... lol... Took a few pictures too... Haha...

Callie with her raspberry ice cream...

Me with my blueberry ice cream...

The boy and girl ice creams... lol

I became a ghost in the cafe.. Lol...

I guess its true... all girls just love the camera... Hahaha..

Night at the Museum was nice... although there was much more room for character development... the couple next to us left like half an hour into the show and never came back... I wonder what happened to them... Hehe...

Managed to get the last train to Dhoby Ghaut, but decided to go for fruits at Kopitiam... when we were walking through Dhoby Ghaut, heard that the last train had just left.. Lol... couldn't have caught it even if we ran from NEL... Haha... Guess going for fruits was a good idea after all... Kopitiam at Dhoby has nice fruits, quite fresh... and grumpy aunties.. lol... but I guess you can't be all that happy about having to work at 12 plus at night... Haha...

Had some nice conversation... then Noel dropped by and it became GREAT conversation... Haha... That was a great day... Nice movie, good food and great company... Hehe...

Btw... The jumput jumput you made was nice too!! Thanks for the samples!! My mother said it could have more bananas... lol...

Time to sleep... lunch with the bandits tmr... Lol...

Most people celebrate the New Year on New Year's Eve... I celebrate it on New Year's Day as well... Haha... Woke up late with nothing to do in the afternoon... decided to rewatch Band of Brothers, just for the heck of it... And while watching them jump out of planes... I was suddenly hit with this urge to learn skydiving.. Lol...

I'll probably shove that idea to the side first... got other things to learn for now... Watching Band of Brothers again brought back memories of the first time I watched it... in NS... during our last 6 months, we had nothing much to do, so our officer let us watch it, saying that it gave very good examples of brotherhood and camaraderie, which was what he wanted us to have... And after so long, we still came back together again during reservist... like old times...

Went for a quick run after that... only managed to hit 3.5km... wanted to go till 5km, but saw the dark clouds approaching again, so I decided against it... got back, washed up and changed and went out to meet Jas... she wanted to go take a look at The Clinic... so I agreed to accompany her... supposed to meet Xuzi and Wenyan there too... but Xuzi couldn't make it, so it was just me, Jas and Wenyan in the end...

Wenyan was coming late, so I met Jas first, had dinner then went down to Clarke quay... Passed by the Reverse Bungy there... First time I'd been so close to it, so I just had to take pics... Hehe...

That's the structure from afar... I think the one I tried in sydney was much higher though...

That's the little metal ball you get strapped into right before you're launched...

And this although not very clear, was the next couple to get into the ball... a caucasian and his female companion, wearing white and light blue... and what I'd call... porn star heels... they're like stilettoes and the portion at the ball of the foot is also on a platform, both the platform and heels are clear... makes the legs look nice, but looks damn porn star like... damn high too...

Anyway, when she got in, there were A LOT of ppl watching... but the seats were big enough to stop anything unintentional from peeking out... haha... I was expecting screams, but surprisingly, the couple before them and they themselves didn't scream much... it was more of a... "WHHHOOOoooopppp!!" and... that's it.. lol...

I would have liked to try it, if it wasn't for the high price... so in the end, we just continued on to the Clinic... it was still early, so we took a walk around the much more spacious area compared to the day before, and went for ice cream at Haagen Dazs first... lol

Went in at around 11... took a look around... there were different names for different areas like Anthrax for the bar, Amino for the chill out area with the wheelchairs, unfortunately, Amino was closed for a special function thing... oh well... We went into the main area, nice chill out music was playing and interesting decor... but, the ceiling fixtures were a bit lacking... didn't really resemble a clinic on the inside... except for the tables and chairs which looked like pills... the 2nd floor had a nice view of the dance floor below, and huge comfy sofas... which, although they had the reserved sign there, the staff there allowed us to sit anyway... so we had the comfy sofa all to ourselves... hehe.. Wenyan came a while later, and we just had drinks, joked around and basically chilled... Drinks there were seriously not bad... quite potent sometimes... I probably wouldn't mind going back there next time... with more ppl... it would definitely be fun...

However, sitting down and drinking does had its limits, so we left for MOS at about 12 plus... surprisingly, there wasn't much of a crowd either... most of them probably stayed home after partying like crazy the night before... Hence, the crowd at the MOS main arena was mostly youngsters... seriously... the dance floor had those t shirt and jeans kind of people... 'trying' to impress the girls with their awful dancing... and I DO mean awful... Looking at them kinda made me wonder if I had ever looked like that... After some contemplation (5secs =P), I decided... Nah... I've got more groove than that... Hahaha...

It was a pity Smoove wasn't open that day either... only the main arena and 54 were open... main arena was playing R&B... some were songs I recognised, others, weren't... and those that I didn't recognise, were kinda hard to dance to... weird beats and all that... ended up trying to have fun and waiting for the right song to come along...

Dancing in the cages was quite fun... but not when you're next to someone who thinks he can break dance in that small space... I saw a different side to Jas when dancing with her.. Hehe... and it wasn't all that bad *grin*... You've got some nice moves girl... Hehe...

We stayed there till like 2 plus, till the music got too weird and unbearable, and we were, frankly, tired... hehe... walked out half deaf and thirsty... got drinks at TCC, sat near the river and chatted... Then, cos I had to take a cab home, I had to go to Liang Court to draw money... and the Macs there tempted us to get some food.. Lol...

Here we are... two very tired 'old' people.. Lol...

Saw her off in a cab, then I took the 2nd cab after, cos some half drunk prick tot it would be funny to jump in the cab before his friends did, not knowing I wasn't getting into the same cab as jas... Had a stare down with him as the cab drove by.. but was seriously too tired to do anything about it...

Got home, washed up and KOed till 11am the next day... Haha...

First post of the New Year... Heh... and its only because I started writing this after 12 midnight... Been kinda busy after writing that previous super long post... Sorry to my friends who had to read all those words... and btw, I did count them... Took up 5 pages in MS Word... 2.3k plus words in total...

Oh well... I'm not gonna do some reflection of 2006... In some way... the previous post was already kind of a reflection... I've read some of the reflections others have written... and gotten myself mentioned in two of them... That brings a smile to my face... Makes me feel that I've made an impression on the lives of my friends... You'll know if you're important to someone when you get mentioned in that way... Of course, doesn't mean that I'm gonna be resentful at those who didn't mention me... Nah... I probably just didn't affect your lives that much... Heh.. Already gotten used to being put in a corner this year... Heh...

Anyway... back to the new year... I actually just got back from games and dinner with friends... Went to the place called PitStop Cafe... Somewhat like Settlers... same thing... games and finger food... There was this game called Galloping Pigs... It had these cute little pig figurines... which I put in some very 'compromising' positions...

Pig porn anyone?? Lol...

Took a walk around the area after that... all the way to funan just for fun... Then went to Fisherman's Wharf for dinner... think their standard dropped since the last time I went there... Staff are their usual gruff selves... Sheesh... If it wasn't for the food and the price, I wouldn't bother going there... Then we took a walk down Clarke Quay... saw everyone getting ready for the new year with their party hats and all that... Saw the Cannery with all the new pubs and clubs... Took one look at the Clinic, and decided that we should go there tmr night... so thats where I'll probably be... chilling at the outdoor booths, or indoors on their quite ingenious wheelchairs...

We walked around a bit more... looked around at all the other bars and such... and then it started to drizzle... Sheesh... decided it would be better to head home rather than get stuck in the rain and crowd at clarke quay... So... took the train home and here I am... Rather boring New Year's Eve... but compared to last year's where I was crying my eyes out, this one is rather good already...

Haven't been putting up many pictures, December's been a busy month for me... After exams, came the prep for my first reservist... 11th to 15th... Rotted in camp for 3 days before having anything to do... then once I came out, came Impresario prelims on the 16th... talk about being in a rush... I was practically going through steps and choreo IN BUNK at night... music pumping into my earphones, think all my bunkmates were wondering what I was doing, facing the window too... Only way I could get a good reflection to see myself...

Worse thing was that there was partner work in the choreo... My greatest worry then was that I wouldn't be able to sync with my partner... But on that day, after a slight cleaning up and practice, we actually did quite well...

Here I am with my dance partner... Grace...

And here we are... The Bandits... lol... last minute name lah...

After the prelims, we had lunch and I treated them to Big O waffles... and their verdict? Better than Gelare's! Lina even kept telling me during the bbq at blast camp, that all she could think about was the waffles... Think I spoiled them silly that day... Ordered two waffles, one with mac nut and banana, the other with double chocolate and blueberries... even worse, Carey was there, so I asked her to give more ice cream... they came with two scoops each!! We were all seriously stuffed after that...

After that, there was Blast camp from 18th to 21st... Talk about a tight squeeze... At the same time, I was having my Basic Open Water Course in scuba diving... So I could basically only go for camp on half days... till about 2 plus on 18th and 19th, cos I had theory lessons at 4.30pm... then one full day on wed... which, luckily, was the day they went Sentosa... then rushing back to the camp on Thurs morning to see their performances and hang out with the jrs till it was time for my pool session at 7pm... Took a LOT of cab that time... had to get to the Singapore Teacher's Union, near Yio Chu Kang... luckily, my dive instructor stays at Pasir Ris... he gave me a lift home that day... the Union was so ulu... even the cab driver needed me to look at the map to see which road was nearer...

Then on Sat and Sun, 23rd and 24th, came the open water dives at Pulau Hantu... thankfully, the rain stopped for me to complete the dives, cos on both days, it only started raining after I my diving was done...

This is Pulau Hantu... looks damn pristine... but the visibility there sucks... 6m down and everything is dark already...

Thats where all the air tanks are... We were on top resting and having lunch... Heh..

Christmas Day saw me tinkering with my computer again... I was thinking of doing some minor upgrades... trying to quieten the fans... in the end, my sound card gave up on me... after 5+ yrs of work... it had a good life... So I went down to the Creative store to get my new sound card... split the cost with my sis since she's also been playing games and music on my com... Hehe...

That and a few other upgrades later... I got this...

Heard of Zhng my Car? This is Zhng my Com... lol

Had to make a few trips down to Sim Lim to really decide what I wanted... its still a work in progress though... wanna make a few more changes... but I can hold those off for now... Got myself an early Christmas present too... Managed to get this super rare car model... Fastest production car in the world at present... Damn nice...

The Bugatti Veyron... 1001bhp...

Then at night, met my sis, Christine, her friend, Chris and Jasmine for dinner at Big O... lol...
Chris is my sis' friend from Aus, met him there when I was there... he's a great guy to be around... and he was going back to Aus 2 days later, so we decided to meet him for dinner... I asked Jasmine along cos she wasn't doing anything either.. and she wanted to try the tofu burger there... hehe...

I've also been kinda busy in the mornings lately... No idea why, got bit by the cooking bug... Tried something simple first... cooking eggs... Did 3 styles... Easy over easy, Sunny Side up and Scrambled... Over the span of 2 days, I cooked 6 eggs... Heh... Never ate so many eggs in my life...

Left: Eggs over easy
Right: Sunny side up

Scrambled eggs

I seasoned them with a bit of black pepper, paprika and salt... Callie told me the scrambled eggs looked like the Mac eggs... exactly what I was aiming for... Heh...

I confess, I've been pampering myself silly this month... and the reason I gave myself other than that I wanted/needed the stuff, was that I ought to, esp after the shitty year I had... Here's a list...

Computer Stuff
CPU cooler
Graphics card cooler
Casing Fan
Sound card
Hard disk
External hard disk casing

Car Models
1/18 Bugatti Veyron
1/18 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster
1/18 Lamborghini Gallardo

Personal Items
iPod 30Gb Video
Fossil Watch (bday present from sis)
1 pair of Levi's 525 bootcut
1 pair of Levi's Engineered

Now all I have left is to find a good pair of shoes to replace my adidas... they've got holes in the sides already... Hehe.. And yes, I finally got my ipod video...

Just got the watch today, from my sis... it's my belated bday present... My G shock was breaking apart... rubber all peeling away... so I decided to get something slightly more classy... Hehe...

So all in all... I guess its more like a New Year, New Look.. Got a few more items to get... but those will come in time... The only thing I want for this year, is to be able to look only forward, and not back... It's gonna be my last sem this year... after that, its either the working world, or something else I've been seriously considering since the middle of this sem... This decision will most probably be the most important one in my life, and I do really have to consider everything carefully...

Other than that, I've got a few other things to look forward to... One is Impresario Finals, if we get in anyway, then I also got picked to do Chingay this year... thats gonna be quite an experience... on top of that, I'm still considering joining Hip Hop Night too... depends on what else I have to juggle first, I'm not one to plunge into things just because I want to...

Consequences do make a large part of my decision making process... I'm also planning to get my Advance Open Water sometime this sem... and hopefully, have enough time to get my Powerboat license and Advanced Driving as well, might wanna try something new too... called European Martial Arts, but that I'll also consider carefully... ICT's also confirmed in July... a High Key one this time, so I'll probably have more things to do in reservist... Ultimately, studies still come first, I might not be doing honours, but I'll do my best to get a good bachelors...

I may have sort of screwed up last year, but I'm definitely NOT gonna screw up 2007... Why? Simple... because I choose to... =)
