Just had to put this here... There are some REALLY desperate ppl who think they can bump up the price of something just because you're looking for that item...

A few weeks ago, I put up an ad in a local gaming forum, asking whether someone had the PC game Hitman: Blood Money... Figured I'd try to get a cheaper copy this time... And the reply that came in today was...

If you still interested in hitman blood money i will sell it to you for about 50 dollar if you want only 30 dollar i will gladly burn if for u with crack from megagame.com and to unlock it with bundles supplies. And if you still want the game, come meet me in mrt boon keng station at north east line. Do you know outside sell for 54.90cent so is very cheap already. Blah blah blah...

The moment I read it, I was like... WTF??!??!? Think I'm a gullible kid ah?? And for my defense, my ad simply put...

I'm looking for this recent game, Hitman: Blood Money... Must have everything that came with the box, and in good condition... Willing to pay at least $30 for the game... PM me if any are interested...

Exchange probably at city hall or orchard mrt... =)

That guy wrote 4 things that pissed me off...
1) I already said I looking for PC game with box... of course I want original... pirated games don't come with boxes...
2) I said at least $30... Doesn't mean you can bump up the price to $50, esp for a 2nd hand game...
3) And I DO KNOW how much it costs in stores... You think $4.90 discount very big ah? Won't even cover my transport to the station and back...
4) I already said, exchange at city hall or orchard mrt... you come and tell me boon keng mrt... wtf...

So desperate for the cash issit? No one will want to buy it either lah... $50 for a game thats like nearly 6 months old and no one's really playing it anymore? Gimme a break... I can get a first hand copy of it for $45... Why should I pay $50 for a 2nd hand copy? Still say he'll burn for me and give me a crack for $30... Pls lah... I'm not that gullible... Might as well just borrow from him, then I burn it myself right?

I sent back this reply...

Sorry bro... I can get a first hand copy for $45... I said $30 cos its already 2nd hand. 2nd hand games don't go for $50... esp after so long... doesn't matter whether you give a crack or not... I prefer not to crack my games...

Thanks anyway...

And thats me being nice... =)

No one's going to walk all over me anymore... Too bad for him... $50 might as well buy from the store... Heh...

Had a bit of time in the morning... (seem to be waking up before my alarm rings these days... Hai~...) So tot I'd do a more 'professional' photo shoot for my car models... Starting with these 2 models...

1:18 Autoart Lamborghini Miura SV Posted by Picasa

Nice velvety interior... *drools* Posted by Picasa

Everything open!! Sweet!! Posted by Picasa

'Stylo' shot... Posted by Picasa

I even found a write up for the Miura SV...

The Miura SV, a two door, two seat berlinetta, was introduced at the Geneva Auto Show in 1971. It was known as being amongst the better versions of Lamborghini's legendary Miura. The SV stands for "Sport Veloce", which translated litereally means "Tuned Fast". Only 150 units of the SV were made during the 1971/2 production year, each hand built to order. The parts of a Miura body were stamped with the car's serial number. The most significant innovation with the SV was the introduction of separate oil feeds to the crankcase and transmission, finally allowing the use of proper lubricants and limiting contaminants in both. This arrangement also permitted the installation of a new ZF limited-slip differential.

From the outside, the Miura SV was easily recognisable by its bulging rear wheel arches, which accomodated the new 9x15 Campagnolo rear wheels, mated with Pirell Cinturato FR70VR15 tyres.
The transversely mounted 3.929 cc 12-cylinder mid-engine produced 385bhp and was capable of reaching a top speed of 290km/h.

Here's the next one...

Everything open!! Including fuel cap!! Cool!! Posted by Picasa

Some info on the SLR...

This terrific supersportscar represents in the truest sense of the word a new 'star' in the current history of sports cars.
With that dream sprts cars of superlatives, Mercedes Mclaren ties up to the track record of the SLR of the 50's and understood in its very own way to build a bridge between the part and the present.
In the way, the SLR is connecting the myth of the old Silver Arrows with the high tech of the current Formula 1.
Its 5,439 cc V8 engine delivers 626bhp, allowing the super light carbonfibre car to reach a top speed of 334km/h, and achieve a 0 - 100km/h timing of 3.8 sec.

I swear that if I ever had enough money, I'd get both these cars... Lol... but that's just really a dream now... One's super rare, the other is super expensive. I'll jsut be contented with their models then... Heh...

Had another pig out session on Sunday after class... I brought my jitterbugs friends down to Siglap for German food... heh... We all had German sausages at this restaurant called Werner's Oven... Heh... Very nice food... although a bit ex... just a main dish and drink was about $24... Hee...

The food had very good reviews from everyone... although the orange and mango juice tasted funny... I had to request for them to change the drinks... tasted more like sour mango... Heh... But nvm... here's the pics!!

German cheese sausages!! So juicy it actually spurted when I cut into it... LOL... Posted by Picasa

Looks like a smiley face! LOL... Posted by Picasa

In memory of Lionel... who's in US studying... we saved a seat for you!! LOL Posted by Picasa

Yeah... we actually had a table of 6 for 5 ppl... cos Lionel's overseas... so.. that's in memory of him... lol

Then, we walked down the road to the Cheesecake Cafe... It only opens like around 3 plus in the afternoon... so we decided to go there for dessert.. lol... It's got quite interesting cheesecake recipes... like Peach cheesecake and Mocha cheesecake or something... Hehe... in the end, we ordered 4 slices... wanted to share cos everyone was kinda full, but... couldn't resist lah!! Lol

Cheesecake!! In front is the Chocolate Chip Vanilla Cheesecake... Behind is the American Blueberry Cheesecake... Posted by Picasa

More cheesecake!! Strawberry Oreo in front, Chocolate behind... Posted by Picasa

Yummy... we walked away from there full to the brim... That cafe has some very nice sofas and ambience to sit down and just relax... Definitely going to go back there, maybe next time with nice company too... =)

And on another note... I recently acquired 2 more car models... bringing my present ownership up to 6... lol... Still eyeing 4 more... and I think I'm mad for doing so... But I dun really care... I just LOVE those models... Take a look at my new ones!!

Autoart Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX Ralliart Edition... Posted by Picasa

Autoart Lamborghini Miura SV in white and gold... Bee-yooo-ti-full!! Posted by Picasa

The Miura's radical design... supposed to look like a bull with horns from the front when the doors are open... Posted by Picasa

Damn cool how the car opens up... =) Posted by Picasa

Now the problem is finding somewhere to display them... I wanted to keep them till I had my own place... but just feels wasted not to display such nice looking models.. Lol...

Then for the boredom in lab, my lab partners decided to have some fun with gloves...

Even this glove thinks the lab sucks.. Posted by Picasa

I wasn't the only one who was bored.. lol Posted by Picasa

Trying to make a nicer one... heh... Posted by Picasa

This is supposed to look like Pinocchio with his long nose... wahahaa... Posted by Picasa

Luckily there's only one more such lab left... otherwise we'll all just DIE of boredom...

Slkrz blog
This blog is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced reasoning inherent to the thinking of the mind. It is the eventuality of an anomaly, which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to eliminate from what is otherwise a harmony of mind and body. While it remains a burden assiduously avoided, it is not unexpected, and thus not beyond a measure of control. Which has led me, inexorably, here. (Yeah. It's edited from Matrix Reloaded, so bite me)
