My computer!! A bit messy hor...
Really a bit messy... but it's better than before I cleaned up the desk... my keyboard, monitor and speakers are all old... the only new thing is the black CPU casing next to the monitor... Looks much better than my old 4 yr old casing... heh...
My old casing is sitting on the floor in the living room... Think the chip is spoilt... The only thing I managed to sell is the graphics card... So anyone wants 2nd hand computer parts, can come ask me... I might have... Hee... Gonna sleep soon... Got school tmr... IT1001 lecture!! Whee!! Interesting...

I've decided to lessen my work days to about 2 or 3 days a week, 5 hour shifts only... so I'll have more time to concentrate on my work, and yet, try to save some money in the process...
I've learnt quite a lot while working these few weeks... one of them is that there are some weird people in Singapore... there are fussy ppl, eccentric people, and just plain stupid people, or people who think they're smart anyway..
Here's an example:
Stupid customer (SC): Excuse me, may I have a steak knife?
Me: Sorry Sir, we don't carry steak knives.
SC: But you do. *points to customer at the next table* Isn't that pointed one a steak knife?
(Note: We use 2 different types of knives, but the teeth are the same, one is an older, more pointed knife, the newer knives are rounded at the tip, but are essentially the same type of knife.)
Me: No Sir, that's the same type of knife.
SC: No what, isn't that a steak knife? I want that knife.
Me: Sir, it's the same, but if you insist, I'll change it for you.
SC: Ok. Thank you.
*I come back with the old knife, he picks it up, looks at it and realises I'm right, can do nothing but just put it down and act like he isn't stupid*
Another fine example:
SC2: Excuse me, I didn't really read the menu, but I didn't know the English Muffin came with raw salmon. Can ask them to cook the fish a bit longer for me?
Me: Ok, I'll help you check about that.
*I go consult the menu and the chefs and they all agree that the salmon is smoked, not raw*
Me: Ma'am, the salmon isn't raw, it's smoked.
SC2: Issit? But it still looks raw. Can ask them to cook it longer in the microwave?
Me: Ok.
*I go back to the kitchen, tell the chefs what the woman said. They said, "Smoked salmon is supposed to look raw mah. They dunno how to eat lah, neh neh." Anyway, they cook the fish in the microwave until it's pink, and I send it back. The woman eats it without realising that wasn't the way it was meant to be eaten*
Hai~... so please ppl, when eating out, don't try to tell the ppl how it should or should be like. We do take note of what it should be like, and rarely get it wrong. Esp when it comes to the cooking method and cutlery. For the knife one, it's like telling me, "I just come here once, but I know that the knives are different" WRONG!! It's just different design, but same type of knife. You think we work here, we don't know about the knives meh?
For the salmon one, that was even worse. Don't even know how smoked salmon looks like. Smoked salmon is still orange... only fully cooked salmon is pink. The menu said it was smoked salmon, not 'pink-looking smoked salmon'...
Hopefully, as I'm working less now, I'll see less of these types of people, those that make you want to grind your teeth and smash the tray on their heads...
One piece of good news though... I think I'll have earned enough soon to change my age-ing phone... hee... I'm aiming the K750i... hee... good phone...
Bad news is, everyone's getting sick... stupid nose of mine is half clogged like 90% of the time... and it keeps dripping... hur... Think I'll go rest soon...
