Another year's almost gone.. and this year.. I actually had quite a nice christmas.. avoided the crowds at Orchard by COMPLETELY avoiding Orchard Road.. and yet managed to have some fun on Christmas eve, day and even post Christmas day...

Stayed home with the parents on the eve.. we ordered spaghetti from Pasta Fresca for dinner, gave my grandmother and grandaunt a treat as well.. Then my friends called me out to chill... went to Blooie's at Jln Tua Kong for some pub grub.. Cajun fries and and their AWESOME BBQ chicken wings.. And well.. 12 midnight passed while we were still there... Say the bartender take this old bicycle horn and start beeping when it was past midnight.. even went out of the pub to beep at the houses nearby.. lol.. Then he played the usual Merry Christmas song.. until he abruptly stopped it and went back to groovy pop music, reason being "Enough of this shit"... lol... That was so amusing..

Christmas Day was just the usual... slacking around home... watching lame christmas movies.. so I decided to go pamper myself... went down to Millenia Walk, to get my models... Lol... Every year, for my birthday and christmas, my relatives would just put some cash into ang pows and give it to me as presents.. Haha.. the best presents in mu opinion... So I had enough to get 2 models... The first was one I've been wanting to get for so long... the Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car...

This was a special texture they used.. to mimick the carbon fibre.. Damn cool model.. I like my 2nd shot too actually.. lol...

The 2nd model I got was a damn rare piece that was the last piece in the store.. The 1967 Ford Mustang GT390 from the movie "Bullitt" staring Steve McQueen...

I like the last shot a lot.. lol... damn stylo... This model is really quite rare, since I heard that Autoart lost the license to make the Bullitt Ford Mustang already.. lol...

Anyway.. on the way back, I bought half a dozen donuts for the family, since I still had cash left... and we polished it all off as well... haha...

Boxing Day was quite a fun day too.. Had lunch with my sis at Waraku at Siglap.. totally pigged out... was quite impressed by the service the manager gave us... I asked about their Salmon Miso Cheese, which wasn't on the menu anymore.. and he said he'd check with the kitchen whether they could still do it.. They couldn't though, but it was alright... at least he had the initiative to ask... Very refreshing...

Then.. I went to collect my Christmas present for the family.. Awfully Chocolate's Christmas Box!! Lol... The box had one chocolate log cake, two boxes of chocolate truffles, and one Awfully Chocolate Christmas Tree!! I'll let the pics do the talking...

Yummy eh!! Lol... Then I had to rush off for my movie treat from Callie... It was a belated bday treat.. lol... Had coffee at Wisma to catch up on stuff.. then got dragged to Heeren to take neoprints... Not gonna put the pics here... Cal, you'd better not upload them to facebook!! Lol...

Went to catch National Treasure... Not too bad a movie... Worth a weekday price, but maybe not a weekend price... So since I already watched I Am Legend.. the only movie left is... The Chipmunks!! Lol.. That and Alien vs Predator 2 when it opens within the next few days...

Not bad for a few days of Christmas celebrations eh.. lol... They're still continuing though.. like my bday celebrations.. lol... Lunch with Kareen and Shumei tmr.. Dinner with the JC guys.. then dinner with Jas and Suzie on Sun night.. lol... So if anyone else wants to meet me.. Sat's the only free day this week!! Haha...

Oh oh!! Had to post this... Was on the way down from Bugis to meet Nic at Bishan for coffee today evening when guess what.. the train service was disrupted at Bugis by some silly girl who got her ENTIRE calf stuck in the gap between the train and the platform... They had to evacuate the entire train while station staff worked on getting her leg out... But.. like all other times, everyone just gathered around the poor girl... her friends and the staff helping her.. and then, it was just a matter of time before you see a lone hand stick up out of the crowd with a camera phone and take a picture.. then... a camera with a flash... I'm like... wth?? Poor girl's trapped there and instead of helping, you go take a picture?!?!?

Even worse... some people wanted to see what the commotion was about.. and went to board the train to look... got chased out by the staff again cos the weight in the train was apparently pressing down on the girl's leg... stupid idiots... in the end, the SCDF came to get her leg out...

The thing is.. she's not a kid.. she's a teenager.. I have no idea how her entire calf could have slipped down into the gap... but judging by what her friends were wearing.. I could make a guess.. Slippers, shorts and thin legs... easy for it to get trapped... I honestly don't know which was worse... having someone get her leg stuck.. or seeing everyone else snapping away like a movie star had come to the station... Singaporeans so need a life man... hai~...

Thanks to all those who sent birthday wishes to me... =)

Be it by sms, phone calls, facebook or friendster, thanks a lot guys~ Really appreciate it...

From msgs just an hour past midnight, to even belated ones, I really thank you guys for the effort. I know that some of you guys are still in the midst of exams, a really stressful period, so thanks a lot!!

For once this time, this birthday's been quite enjoyable... Got msgs from not only close friends, but even my NS friends who just happened to run into each other and one of them remembered my bday.. It was really a surprise to hear from them... =)

Pre-bday celebrations the day before had me catching Hitman with my sis, since I had two free tickets to use up before the end of the month. The movie wasn't bad, just wish 47 could have been more artistic and silent in his killing, thats what the game was about anyway... But the movie was quite watchable, especially if you've played the game like I have... Then I spent my birthday quite peacefully, at home, with family and just relaxing, getting my thoughts in order. Sometimes just idly leafing through light reading material.

Post bday celebrations were even more fun... Accompanied my sis down to Orchard Road Presbyterian Church for her friend's charity 2nd hand bazaar, I went for the food, she went to look at her friend's mother's jewellery store.. lol.. Then we caught The Kingdom at the Cathay and even she agrees that the sweet popcorn there is the best she's ever had!! Haha...
The Kingdom was a nice movie, albeit slightly slower paced in the beginning, the action only really started in the last 45 minutes or so.. At least it didn't portray all Saudis as angry terrorists, it actually showed that not all of them are extremists, which is good... Didn't make the movie seem like more propaganda...

Then I headed down to Far East Square for the O School Dance recital... Good items, great atmosphere, the only sucky thing were the seating arrangements.. Asking the audience to sit on the floor where the stage is ALSO on the floor, is definitely NOT a good idea... its even worse when there's b-boying... But the items are great fun!! I really liked the Lyrical Hip Hop, Popping and Reggae items.. Not to mention the instructors' item, its damn inspiring to see their item... Great fun, humorous and great dancing all round!!

Great chance for me to catch up with the Blast ppl too... Haven't seen some of them in ages, like Ahmad, Candy, Clavin, Roz... And who can forget, the dance battle with Calvin strutting his stuff!! And body for a moment anyway.. Lol.. Everyone had a slightly sore throat after that part... Hahaha...

I could really see the jnrs who performed for this improving... Nic, Lina, Weilong and Sharon... Wonderful performance for the reggae item... You could really feel the energy for that one.. Haha... I said it once, I'll say it again... "That's hot".. Hahaha...

Apologies for the lack of pictures, they're all on other people's cameras and the ones that are on my facebook aren't exactly clear... Sorry for that Marie!! Haha...

And that's not the only post-bday celebration... Got a dinner treat tmr, AND on thurs... plus Nic's slightly belated bday bash on Fri... I might go down for Ahmad's modelling gig at Zouk first too... Haha... it's gonna be one BIG Friday... Haven't clubbed for dunno how long man... Itching to hit the floor again, esp after the O school recital... I'll probably sneak in Nic's bday present on one of the days too.. Hehe... Poor girl's got to study on her bday... Man, I know how that's like.. Had to do that last year too... Sucked big time...

Looks like my bday celebrations are lasting a week and a half this year.. lol... That's a big change from last year...

But to my friends who forgot, it's alright... I can't expect everyone to remember my bday, especially at this time of the year... No expectations means no disappointments eh? Haha... It's great some of you guys remembered, but it's no big deal others forgot... As long as you guys remember me as a friend, that's good enough for me...

Ok, I confess, I did expect some to msg me... and there wasn't any msgs.. but as I thought about it.. I don't owe you guys anything, so I shouldn't expect anything back either.. Like I said, as long as you remember me as a friend, its good enough for me... =) Guess that's why I never really put my birthdate on this blog... Don't wanna look like I'm screaming for attention on this one day...

Once again, thanks for the well wishes, I really appreciate it more than I can ever express... If you guys ever need anything, I'll be there to lend a hand.. I'm just a phone call away..

This blog is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced reasoning inherent to the thinking of the mind. It is the eventuality of an anomaly, which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to eliminate from what is otherwise a harmony of mind and body. While it remains a burden assiduously avoided, it is not unexpected, and thus not beyond a measure of control. Which has led me, inexorably, here. (Yeah. It's edited from Matrix Reloaded, so bite me)
