Heh... This is what you do when you're bored of studying... or work... Self declare a day off!! Hehe... Jean asked me out on Thurs cos she got bored of working and I agreed cos I was sick of staring at my computer screen watching webcast lectures all day... ahaha...
Whee!!! Day out!!
She, as usual, had to get something from the office, and we ended up eating my 'breakfast' at United Square at around 3 in the afternoon... hehe.. didn't know United Square was such a nice place to eat at... so many things to eat too... I had Katong Laksa!! Hehe...
We ended up at Forum Coffee Bean... hehe... very nice place to relax... that is... until this poor pigeon got killed by the outside ceiling fan... ahaha... I just tot it was cool... =P
One minute you're staring at the scenery, the next thing you know... you see a dark shape swoop down and feathers start to rain down... Then you see this pigeon hopping around on the ground... Few minutes later, the coffee bean person comes out with a dustpan and picks up the dead pigeon by the neck and carries it into the back of the shop in the dustpan... There was even slight splatter on the window... hehe... Thank goodness for the window, otherwise we'd have been hit by collateral... hehe...
Took a few more pics before going to One Fullerton to see the scenery...
Musing... Hrm...
Wot you looking at???
This was the scenery from One Fullerton... very nice...
Nice view from One Fullerton...
Nice... no? Hehe... And that was a very nice and relaxing day off... hehe... Think I'm taking too many of them... but... oh well... guess I need them... hee...

Hehe... Don't get the wrong idea... Thurs night was a night of sinful GASTRONOMIC pleasure... hee...
Victoria Concert Hall... haven't been inside in quite a while...
For the Science of Music mod, we have to go watch a concert and write a paper on it... so, I decided to go for the T'ang Quartet concert with the Conservatory Orchestra... Very nice performance... Beautiful music... Been too long since I last listened to music like that... heh...
Anyway, after the concert, I went to Max Brenner's Chocolate Bar with Benny and Shumei... Heh... Benny's a chocoholic... think I'm gonna convert soon sia... ahaha... For just $20, you get chocolate fondue with 3 types of chocolate, dark, milk and white... plus strawberries, bananas, bread cubes and marshmallows... Yummy... The chocolate shots are nice too... hehe... Definitely don't mind going back there... They use Belgium chocolates... and those come in HUGE slabs that were placed above us... those slabs are for sale too!! $250 for one, the equivalent of 10 normal sized bars... Damn nice... Heh...
Max Brenner's Chocolate Fondue and Chocolate shots! Sinful!!
Bread cubes and marshmallows... Simple, but good with chocolate!!
Strawberries and bananas... Just heavenly~
After that, we went to Glutton's Bay for bbq chicken wings!! Shumei's crazy about them... hahaha... got 6 for the 3 of us first... then had a 2nd round of another 6... ahaha... DAMN sinful!!
Roast Chicken Wings from Gluttons' Bay!!
Can't get enough of the chicken!!
The aftermath of demolishing 12 chicken wings...
This cat likes the chicken too!!
I guess that day... we all went back very full and guilty... ahah...
2 happy guys with chocolate to eat!!!

Just a quick post before I start mugging for my CA on Wed...
Usually when I go for Pat's Hip Hop 1 class at Jitterbugs on Sundays, I end up eating lunch with just Samuel, this guy that was in my intro class as well... but it so happened that the other people I met in class managed to keep last Sunday open, so we managed to have lunch with a bigger group.
Opted for something different, rather than just BK or Long John's every sun, so we tried out the Marina Square Food Court... Initially, it was damn crowded, we couldn't find seats, but the moment I stepped out to the outside eating area, I knew that that was where I wanted to sit... I usually prefer the comfort of air conditioning to the hot air outside, but that day... the view was SPECTACULAR... Granted, we weren't very high up, but I could still see the river... it looked damn inviting, nearly wanted to go for a swim...
Nice view of the Esplanade from the Marina Square Food Court...
Look!! The Durian!!
Look at that view!!! How could I NOT sit outside?? I could have just stood there and looked at the view for hours... And eventhough the weather was hot, there were enough fans and wind for it to be very bearable...
We were there sitting, eating and chatting till around 4pm... Heh... longest 'lunch' I had... they're all such great company... we should do that every sun... hehe...
The Jitterbugs peeps!!
That's me on the left, followed by Jasmine, Lionel, Caroline and Samuel. I don't know if it's something about dance, or just how ppl dress, but they tend to look younger than their real age... Samuel is 26 yrs old... but he doesn't look like it... Jasmine looks 18, but she's actually older (heh... girl's age cannot tell one =P)... I guess only Lionel and Caroline look closer to their ages... hehe... Btw... Caroline is Blast! Candy's little sis!! Heh... Pat still calls her Candy' sister... hehe...
It's great fun having class with you guys! Hope we can do this more often~...
Now... back to my mugging... hur... xP

Hrm... I've been in a weird mood since dance on Thurs... Don't really know what's wrong... Can't get my head clear of stuff, school, my life... just random stuff...
So I decided to take some time off (ie. skip lecture =P) to go down to Arab Street with Jean yesterday afternoon... She wanted to go there for a look see... I didn't mind going there as well... Reached earlier than her, as usual, heh... Then I just went walking around... looking at the shops, the Sultan Mosque, and all the cafes and restaurants in the area... I've never really had the chance to explore Arab Street, guess this was as good as any to go... Took some nice pictures too... Take a look!!
Sultan Mosque
This could be a promotional shot... hehe... =P
Souvenir shops at the same place...
Nice signboard
And tucked away in a small area of the row of shophouses, I managed to find 2 quaint and nice cafes to just sit, relax and maybe have nice conversation... One's the BLue Oasis Cafe, the other is Sleepy Sam's if I remember correctly...
If I'm not wrong, this place is called Sleepy Sam's... looks nice too...
The Blue Oasis cafe... nice place to relax in...
We ended up at the Blue Oasis... the food and drnks there are at ok prices, and kinda different too... They have stuff like Tofu Sandwiches and Cheezy Egg Sandwiches... Nice menu... heh... I definitely won't mind going back there when I'm in the area... They've even got a website at
My Blue Oasis... Managed to take a pic of the place too...
A cosy blue oasis.. hehe
You know what's the most interesting part of this cafe? They've got a Jacuzzi at the back!! Supposed to be for the Yoga and Pilates students... but the guy told me that we can use it for $20 for half hour, with a min of 3 ppl... heh.. Not a bad idea sometimes... heh...
Oooh... wat's that??
It's a jacuzzi!! At the back of the cafe!! Neat!!
It's such a nice place... friendly people too... heh... Heard lots of uni students and Ngee Ann poly ppl go there as well... I definitely wonuldn't mind dropping by if I'm in the bugis area... Much better than the crowds at Bugis Junction... =P
