I really hate times like this, seems like Singapore is really getting overpopulated... can't even find a decent place to sit and hang out with my frens... And the gahment can still say our population growth is dropping... you know, I feel that besides the fact that ppl don't have the money or time to make babies, there's also one point being left out... that is, there's no FREAKIN' space!!! Not enough space to live, to eat, to relax, to shop... you get the idea... So if their population campaign is successful, we'll then face the problem of land shortage... Oh sure, we could always build taller buildings to house them, but what about Orchard Road? I'd really like to see how the architects can increase space in there... It's already cramped as it is... Traffic there is horrendous, human or otherwise... Of course, once the land issue is resolved, it might just mean that the population issue is back again, since ppl find not enough space to raise children and decide not to have so many... and again, it continues.. Man... Sometimes I just feel like immigrating... I just felt to down the other day, and after reading this it really perked me up... This , is how Singapore's population problem can be solved... Hehe... ;P
I though at least Choa Chu Kang would be better, it being a holiday and all, maybe most ppl would go into the city... but Nooo... It's just as bad as any other night at Lot one... On Tues night, I went to eat at Macs with a few frens and accompanied them to buy canned food for their Ophir trip this Fri... and did they buy a lot!!! Made the canned food we all broght for outfield look like a snack... Plus, they chose all the good stuff too... hehe... Hopefully, they can manage to carry all that and more up the mountain, esp with them all being injured and all; one just pulled out his wisdom tooth, another pulled his hamstring and another just injured his lip... So to Haojie, Hock and Gerard, good luck guys... and be careful of the centipedes there... they're HUGE!!!
Then after that, since I had nothing to do and it was too early to head back, I decided to walk around in Lot 1... and inadverdantly (maybe not... hee), I ended up at the arcade... Walked around to see the games, wanted to play Initial D, but there were ppl playing, so I just watched... And I saw 2 quite good guys playing the same track again and again, trying to clock better times... Funny thing was, whenever they couldn't make it, they'd scold vulgarities like CB! F***!, show the third finger... that kinda stuff... at the machine... like it was the machine's fault... I kinda pity it... I mean, you're not doing anything, just recording times, and you get scolded for it!! Imagine you're timing a race, and the racer who crosses the line misses breaking his record by a second... he suddenly turns to you and starts hurling vulgarities at you... How would you feel??? Poor machine...
Then, as if it can't get any worse... there I am, waiting there for 30 mins, just waiting for the guy on my Left to finish playing, he only had 2 bucks left... while the guy on my Right, just finished scolding the machines for the nth time... So R's had enough, he gets up to let his fren play... while I still wait for L to finish, then, when L finishes, before I can get my card out of my pocket, that idiot R rushes to the other seat and sit in it!!!! Bloody hell!!! And his card has like 20 bucks in it!!! F***ing hell!!! Now it's MY turn to start scolding... I couldn't do a thing cos he already put his money in and started to play... so I was calculating, on average, one game can last 11 minutes, multiply by 16 games (one game 1.22), I could be waiting for 2 hours+!! So, I did what any other guy would have done... walked away... hehe... went back to camp... slept early... ;) But really... it's amazing what some ppl will do just for their favourite game... I'm not the exception either... Calculating, I've spent about $700 playing Initial D... that's y I rarely play anymore... maybe just once every fortnight or something... ;)
Then on my way back to camp, I called a fren to talk, we talked for 1hr 40 mins, if my phone recorded it correctly... And I kinda remembered what I told me fren, tot it was nice, wanted to share it with you guys... And that is to be happy with what you have now, where you are now, and you'll go farther... Sounds weird right, but basically it means that to succeed, first you'll need to be happy with what you're doing and your position now... only then can you improve yourself and succeed further... That makes sense now? Hee... Think I'll stop here for today, before I make your brains explode from thinking too much... hee... cya...
